WEAVERVILLE – Vivian Elsie Sorber McDonald, age 98, passed away on Friday, February 20, 2026.

Mrs. McDonald was born on December 23, 1927, in Roxborough, PA and moved to North Carolina in 2011 with Marlene Ayers, a friend of over 60 years. Surviving is her daughter, Vivian Katherine McDonald; grandchildren, Karen Damm, and Mischel Thompson; and 12 great grandchildren.

Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 am, Sunday, March 8, 2026, at Ivy Hill Church, 414 Ivy Hill Road, Weaverville, with Pastor Tony Vess officiating. A meal will follow the service in the fellowship hall at the church and all are welcome to attend.
