CANDLER – Tyler Glenn Cutchens, age 30, of Candler passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2026.
Tyler was born on October 20, 1995, in Henderson County and was a resident of Buncombe County and attended North Buncombe High School. He loved being outdoors, his friends, and to hear people laugh. He was a talented guitarist and a gun enthusiast. His ability to lighten a room was unmatched and he could find humor in absolutely everything. Tyler was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Rev. Robert and Marcelene Warren Jackson; and paternal grandparents, Larry and Nancy Wright Atkins.
Surviving is his father, Glenn Cutchens, Jr. (Rhonda); mother, Maria Atkins (Van); paternal grandparents, Glenn Cutchens, Sr. and Jean Shipp Cutchens; maternal grandparents, Burr and Bobbye Jo Giffen; sisters, Ashtyn Jackson (Drake), Haley Cutchens, Jessica Zill, and Amanda Rose; his beloved Sara Brennan; and best friends, Josh Freeman, Shane Gulla, Joe Lasher, Jr., and Molly Lung, and his beloved dog, Kaiah.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, August 15, 2026, in the First Presbyterian Church, Weaverville, 30 Alabama Ave., Weaverville, with Rev. Lee Whitaker officiating. The family will greet friends following the service.
