Terri Anne Pauly-Smith

ASHEVILLE - Terri Anne Pauly-Smith (September 29, 1967 – May 24, 2022), daughter of the late Louise Nelson Pauly (d. 2003) and James Frederick Pauly (d. 2005) died unexpectedly at home on Thursday, May 24, 2022.

Happily married to husband, Charles Lamar Smith for 31 years and mother to beloved Josephine Smith (age 24), an avid lover of gothic romance novels and Dr. Who, Terri’s greatest joys were daughter Josephine and the many animals she loved throughout the years, especially her cherished Princess.

In passing, Terri leaves behind husband, Charles Lamar Smith and daughter, Josephine Smith of the home; sisters Lynn (Arthur) Whalen, Susan (Keith) Sain, and Dr. Karen Pauly; nieces, Kara (Jay) Cochran, Toni (Timmy) Rininger, Christen (Mike) Rinaldi; nephew, Derrick (Jill) Rininger and multiple great-nieces and nephews.

The family will hold a private viewing at West Funeral Home, Weaverville, NC and a memorial service is planned for a later time.
