Ruth Naomi Hensley

ASHEVILLE – Ruth Naomi Hensley, age 87, of Asheville, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, February 22, 2023. 

Mrs. Hensley was born September 29, 1935, in Buncombe County where she lived most of her life. 

She was the daughter of the late Cecil and Eva Edmonds Kent.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Oliver Hensley; father of her children, Charles Pressley; and siblings Calvin, Minnie and Betty.

She loved quilting and her grandchildren.

Surviving Mrs. Hensley is her daughter, Wanda Deitz and husband, Allen, of Kingston, Tennessee; sons, Tim Pressley of Leicester, NC; Mark Pressley and wife, Tammy, of Raleigh, NC; and Conrad Pressley and wife, Melissa, of Kentucky; sister, Estella West; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Marilyn Ellis. 

Graveside service for Mrs. Hensley will be held 2:30 p.m., Friday, February 24 in Ashelawn Gardens of Memory with Reverend David Powell officiating.
