Ruth Robinson Link

ASHEVILLE - Ruth Robinson Link, 98, went to her final rest, April 28, 2018. She was born on March 16, 1920, in Yancey County to the late Savannah and Jesse Lee Robinson; she lived most of her life in Buncombe County. Ruth had 8 siblings who lived to adulthood, all of whom preceded her in death. Her life was devoted to family and she was the matriarch of 5 generations. She also loved and found time for quilting, reading her Bible, listening to gospel music, working jigsaw puzzles and playing games on her iPad. She was predeceased by her husband William P. Link, her youngest daughter Tracey Robin Link, grandson Joshua Link and daughter-in-law Judy Link. She is survived by her children William P. Link, Jr., Emma Jean Hutchinson and husband James, Roger Lee Link and wife Anne, Linda Weaver and husband John, Georgia Carol Link and husband Ramon Gonzalez, Cecil Link and wife Stephanie; grandchildren, Stephanie, Tina, Samantha, Cassandra, Jeffrey, Sarah, Phoenix, Seth, Dylan, Dakota, Ava, and Jordan. She also leaves behind 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. Her funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, May 3, 2018 in Long Shoals Baptist Church, 661 Long Shoals Road, Arden, NC. Reverend Roger Reardon will officiate. Burial will follow in Roberts Memorial Park, Arden. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday May 2, 2018 at West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Avenue, Weaverville, NC 28787, where her body will remain until placed in the church one hour prior to the service.
