Ruth Bodenhamer Davis

Ruth Bodenhamer Davis, a wonderful and loving mother, grandmother, and cherished member of the community, passed away on April 17, 2026, in Buncombe County, North Carolina. Born on September 15, 1937, in Forsyth County, North Carolina, she lived a life marked by a lot of love and kindness.

Ruth served as the office manager at Mitchell Distributing for an impressive 35 years, where her commitment and professionalism left a lasting impression on colleagues and friends alike. Her career was a testament to her work ethic and reliability, qualities that defined much of her life.

She lived a number of years in Asheville before moving to Weaverville.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Tami Michael, and wonderful son-in-law, R. Wayne Michael; her sisters, Marty Winchester and Beverly Crowe; and her beloved grandchildren, Alexandra Bentley, Crystal Wells, and Dillon Michael. Ruth also cherished her great-grandchildren: James "Jay" Bentley, Braxton Wells, Jase Wells, and Carson Michael. Each of them held a special place in her heart, representing the joy and continuity of her family legacy.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Mitchell Davis, and her parents, Claude and Mamie Haan Bodenhamer.

Her life was one of steadfast dedication and love to her family, and she will always be remembered with respect and affection by all who had the privilege to know her! She was a very very special person.
