Ruben Dale Storm

WEAVERVILLE – Ruben Dale Storm, age 72, of Weaverville passed away on Monday, April 27, 2026.

Ruben was born on August 17, 1953, in Sumter County, South Carolina. He moved to Buncombe County in May of 1989. A graduate of Hillcrest High School and Central Carolina Technical College with an Associate Degree in Civil Engineering. Ruben retired from Thermo-Fisher. He loved God, golf, good friends and family. Ruben was a member of Brookstone Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold Ralph and Ruby Hinson Storm and step-mother, Dorothy Hubbard Storm.

Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Nancy Player Storm; two daughters, Heather Storm, Jennifer Storm (David Borowski); a son, Kerroll Storm; sisters, Shirley Dobbs (Jerry), Sherry Helgren (Tim); brothers; Terry Storm, Kevin Storm (Kirsten); three grandchildren, Taylor (Chris), Alanson, and Alicia; and one great grandson, Mr. Everett Karn.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 9, 2026, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home with Reverend Mike Schrader officating. The family will greet friends from 1:15 to 2:15 pm prior to the service. Burial will follow at Ashelawn Gardens of Memory, 914 Aiken Road, Asheville, NC 28804.
