RONNIE DANE ROBERTS

CANDLER – Ronnie Dane Roberts, age 75, of Candler, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, April 29, 2022, at his home.

Ronnie was born January 28, 1947, in Buncombe County to the late AV & Wilma Whittemore Roberts. He lived all his life in Buncombe County and worked at SKF, Wilsonart, Burlington Industries and Woodfin Water Department. Ronnie sang bass in a quartet and at his church, Richland Baptist Church in Woodfin. He liked to go dancing at the VFW, watching western movies, and wrestling. He was a loving father and Papaw. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Rhonda Sue Roberts and nephew, Reuben Crigger, Jr.

Surviving are his daughter, Misty Roberts; sisters, Sharon Summey and husband Alan and Sandy Crigger; brother, Troy Roberts; grandchildren, Makenna Roberts and Christian Fields; several nieces and nephews; and mother of his children, Betty Miller.

His funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 4, 2022, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home with Rev. Nelson Ponder officiating. Burial will follow at West Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday prior to the funeral at the funeral home.
