Roma Lee Cooper Anderson

WEAVERVILLE – Roma Lee Cooper Anderson, age 72, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, May 23, 2025.

Mrs. Anderson was born on December 6, 1952, in Buncombe County where she had lived for most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Arthur Lane and Edith Payne Cooper and wife of 41 years to the late Rev. Marvin E. Anderson. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Joyce and Doris.

Surviving are her daughters, Loria Bradley and husband Travis, and Sandra Fields and husband Danny, all of Weaverville; granddaughters, Felica (Leeann), Ashley (Clint), Candice (Tim), Jasmine, and Briana (Josh); great grandchildren, Toby, Dakota, Jackson, Waylon, Catalina, CarriAnne, Synnthia, two great granddaughters on the way; and brothers, Ricky, James, Piney, Junior and Ray.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, May 31, 2025, in Union Valley Freewill Baptist Church, 169 Ox Creek Road, Weaverville with Rev. Darrell Roberts officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:15 a.m. to 11:15 a.m., Saturday prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in Ballard Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband.
