Roger A. Kuykendall

WEST ASHEVILLE– Rev. Roger A. Kuykendall, age 66, of Holcombe Drive died Tuesday, September 18, 2018. Rev. Kuykendall was born October 7, 1951 to the late Carroll and Aileen Howell Kuykendall. He was currently the pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, Fairview; and was a long-time minister preaching on WKJV. Roger also worked in design and manufacturing in prosthetics and orthotics. Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Diane Coggins Kuykendall; daughters, Anisa Creasman and husband Troy and Jennifer Silvers; son, Keith Kuykendall and wife Amanda; sisters, Sandra Stapleton, Patricia Revis and Debra Allen; seven grandchildren, Josh, Alli, Tyler, Jesse, Mason, Aubrey and Abbi. His funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, September 21, 2018 in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville. Rev. Earl Jones and Rev. Chris L. Reese will officiate. Burial will be in West Memorial Park, Weaverville. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. prior to the funeral service. At other times the family will be at the residence.
