WEAVERVILLE – Roberta Frank Baldino, age 85, passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2024, at The Greens at Weaverville.

   Roberta was born October 29, 1938, to the late Roy Lee and Helen Weis Frank. She was born in Colfax, California, where her parents homesteaded and participated in the gold rush in that region. She grew up in northern New Jersey and graduated from high school in Nutley, New Jersey. Roberta worked as a travel agent and explored the world before marrying her high school sweetheart, Anthony Baldino, in 1963. Roberta attended college while raising her children and earned a Nursing Degree and a Master’s in Community Psychology, ultimately working in healthcare.

   Roberta and Anthony lived most of their adult lives in Essex Fells and Tewksbury, NJ, later moving to Smoke Rise in Kinnelon. The couple also created a beautiful family home on Sanibel Island, Florida, where their five grandchildren enjoyed many vacations. Roberta was a loving and engaged mother and grandmother who enjoyed biking, hiking, gardening, holistic health, home design and decorating, and she served the community through a social services agency / food pantry in southwest Florida.

   Roberta is predeceased by her mother, Helen Weis Frank, and her father, Roy Lee Frank; her loving husband of nearly 60 years, Anthony Baldino; her son, Patrick Baldino, her sister, Carolyn Frank Escher; her brother-in-law, Dave Mekeel, and her nephew, Jason Escher. She is survived by her daughter, Beth Baldino Feehan and children Will and Caroline; her son, Michael Baldino and wife Cyndi, and their children Matthew, Sam, and Lily; her sister, Betty Mekeel; her niece, Helen Herring (Patrick); and her nephew, Jonathan Escher (Holly).
