Rickey Chandler

ASHEVILLE – Rickey Chandler, age 67, of Asheville passed away Monday, February 16, 2026.

Rickey was born on December 21, 1958, in Buncombe County where he had lived all of his life. Rickey was a plumber with Dotson Plumbing. He enjoyed fishing, NASCAR racing, and most importantly spending time with his family. He was the son of the late Jerry Arthur and Gerda Marie Steinhauser Chandler and was also preceded in death by his son, Brandon Chandler; and sister, Anita Collins (Eddie).

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 43 years, Kimberly Roberts Chandler; sons, Brian Chandler (Colleen), Dillon Chandler, and Collin Chandler; sisters, Evelyn Shook (Bruce), and Katherine Parker (Mike); brothers, Jerry Chandler, and Thomas Chandler; two grandchildren, Hannah Chandler, and Gracy Chandler; one great grandson, Blayne Eatmon; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved dogs, Pumpkin, Cindy, Willow, and Leia.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., Friday, February 20, 2026, at his residence where the family will share some words and memories at 3:00 p.m.
