Raymond D Yvon

WEAVERVILLE – Raymond D. Yvon, age 88, of Weaverville passed away on Monday, December 8, 2025. Mr. Yvon was born on February 20, 1937, in Holyoke, Massachusetts. He moved to California before retiring to Weaverville.

He retired from Matson Navigation in Long Beach, California and served in the Army National Guard.

He was the son of the late Romeo E. and Matilda Melancon Yvon. Also preceding in death are brothers, Lionel, Sylvio, Richard, and Rene Yvon; a sister, Claire Glenny.

Surviving are his wife, Elaine Marie Roy Yvon; three daughters, Tammy Russell, Kim Yvon, and Michelle Tatum and husband, Mike; two sons, John Yvon and wife, Pat, and Keith Yvon and wife, Jo; two grandchildren, Courtney Yvon and Sarah Russell.

Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 16, 2026, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home with Reverend H. James Rains officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:45 am – 10:45 am on Friday prior to the service. Inurnment will be in the Maple Columbarium at West Memorial Park.
