Peggy Morgan Duyck

WEAVERVILLE – Peggy Morgan Duyck, age 89, of Weaverville passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2022.

Mrs. Duyck was born March 26, 1933, in Buncombe County where she was a resident most of her life.  She was the daughter of the late Harold and Mary Cheek Morgan.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie W. Duyck, Sr. who died in 2015; sisters, Helen Morgan Rice and Clara Wooten; and brother, Billy Morgan. 
  Mrs. Duyck was a graduate of Flat Creek High School, where she was a star basketball player.  She loved to sew, making lots of clothes for her family through the years.

Mrs. Duyck is survived by daughters, Debra Duyck Silver and husband Dennis, and Diane Duyck Cole; son, Ron Duyck, Jr. and wife Deborah; brothers, Richard Morgan and Raymond Morgan; eight grandchildren, Dion, Travis, Morgan, Brent, Reagan, Shawn, Brittany and Whitney; and nineteen great-grandchildren, Davis, Holden, Lawson, Dagen, Merritt, Carter, Kasen, Miles, Caroline, Kylen, Sadie, Finley, Everette, Corliss, Harper, Penny, Brooks, Boone and Kennedy.

Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren loved her so much!

A funeral service for Mrs. Duyck will be held at 2:30pm on Saturday, August 20, 2022 in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Avenue, Weaverville, with Reverend Tommy Wilkes officiating.  The family will receive friends 1:00 to 2:00pm on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Morgan Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
