Patty Marie Phillips

WEAVERVILLE - Patty Marie Phillips, age 58, passed away at her place of residence on August 21, 2026. Patty was born on September 26, 1967, to Edwin and Sharon Phillips and grew up in Weaverville. She attended North Buncombe High School, where she played clarinet in the school band and participated in drama and chorus. She remained a lover of music throughout her life and enjoyed participating in arts and crafts at her care home, where she was always a friendly presence to the other residents and staff.

Patty is survived by her father, Edwin, brother Paul (Mary), and sister Amanda (Scott), as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Sharon, paternal grandparents Paul and Geneva Phillips, and maternal grandparents William and Mary Garrison.

The family extends their gratitude to the dedicated staff at Bear Mountain Health and Rehabilitation for the care shown to Patty in her last years.

Graveside services will be held at 2:30 pm Monday, August 24, 2026, at Clark’s Chapel Cemetery with Rev. Clark Henderson officiating.
