Matthew Rex Peevy

HENDERSONVILLE – Matthew Rex Peevy, age 48, of Hendersonville, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, March 24, 2020. He had had trouble with both his lungs and heart, the Lord took care of everything and took him home. As Matthew would say, "no hurt no more".

Mr. Peevy was born April 20, 1971 in Mobile County, AL. He loved the Lord.

He was the son of the late Patricia Hardy Peevy. In addition to his mother, he was also preceded in death by his uncle, Rex Hardy and aunt, Nancy Peevy. Surviving are his father, Jeff Peevy and wife Kaye; as well as his brother, David Peevy.

Because of the corona virus, we will be holding a very small graveside service in West Memorial Park, Weaverville. We encourage everyone to stay in, and safe. If you feel you need to do something, a contribution to the Special Olympics would be great. Matthew always enjoyed the Special Olympics, and was showing off his newest medal just a few months ago. I miss you so much my son. But I will always remember your smile, your laugh, and your favorite scripture: Proverbs 3: 5 and 6. "Trust in the Lord oh my soul".
