Mary Crowder

ASHEVILLE – Mary Crowder, age 81, of Asheville, died Thursday, January 11, 2018. Mrs. Crowder was born September 8, 1936 in Macon County and was a resident of Buncombe County for most of her life. She enjoyed gardening, especially her flowers. She was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Ollie Dills McConnell and wife to the late Dallas Crowder. Surviving are her daughter, Kathy Crowder of Asheville; sons, Rick Crowder of the home, Gary Crowder of Screven, GA; sisters-in-law, Grace Lindsey of West Asheville, and Shirley Crowder of Weaverville; grandchildren, April, Austin, Hannah and Kristen; and six great grandchildren. Her graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 14, 2018 in West Memorial Park, Weaverville. Rev. David Crowder will officiate. Flowers are welcome.
