She was a part of the Asheville North Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses on Brookdale Road in Woodfin, NC since 1985. She also loved being outdoors, enjoying nature.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Phil Harwood; and all but one of her siblings.

Surviving are her sons, Jim Harwood and wife Sharon, and David Harwood and wife Janice; sister, Margaret Whiteside; grandchildren, Trevor Harwood and wife Wendy, and Hayden Harwood and wife Paige; great-grandchildren, Mallori and Mason; and many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Harwood will be laid to rest beside her husband at West Memorial Park in a private family graveside service.  A memorial service conducted via Zoom will be held at a later date.
