ASHEVILLE/ DILLINGHAM – Louise McLean Dillingham, age 96, Asheville, died Monday, January 22, 2018. Louise was born November 3, 1921 in Buncombe County to the late Horace and Dora Allman McLean. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Arden McNeal Dillingham, who died in 1987; sisters, Nan Keith, Marie Chandler, Ruth Dillingham, Mildred Young, and Pearl McLean; brothers, Allison, Paul, Nat, Stan, Lewis, and Horace McLean, Jr.; special niece and nephew, Margaret McLean Roberts and Edwin Ray McLean. Surviving are her daughters, Brenda, Nancy, Lynn, Sandra, and Theresa Dillingham, all of Asheville; grandchildren, Chris Henson, Cindy Henson Bell and husband Donald Bell, Sr.; great grandchildren, Sarah Henson, who was the light of her life, McKayla Carpenter, Donald Bell, Jr. and Brittany Bell Dillon; great-great grandchildren, Malachi and Marshall; her favorite nieces and nephews, Betty McLean Arrowood, Carolyn Auberry, Joan and Holt Callaway and John Randolph. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 30, 2018 in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville. Reverends Allen Smith and Larry Coates will officiate. Burial will be in Thomas F. Dillingham Cemetery, Barnardsville. A reception and greeting of friends will follow the funeral service at West Funeral Home. Flowers are welcome. The family would like to thank Drs. Will McLean, Josh Gettinger and Avinash Sridhar for their love and care.
