Linda Buckner Albin

CHARLOTTE – Linda Buckner Albin, age 76, of Charlotte was welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Albin was born on August 13, 1948, in Buncombe County to the late Ross and Eupha Burrell Buckner. She lived in Weaverville until 58 years ago when she and her husband moved to Statesville, later to Raleigh, then Pinehurst always working beside her husband in his golf career before moving to Charlotte to be with their daughter and grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by sisters, Mary June Hunter, Barbara Bradley, Helen Anders, Marie Anders, Doris Robinson, Evelyn Herron, and Frances Whitt; and brothers, Max, Donald, and Tommy Buckner.

Those left to cherish her memory are her devoted husband of 59 years, Tommy Albin; daughter, Monica Albin Wackerhagen; grandchildren, Cooper Lee Wackerhagen, and Zoe Page Wackerhagen; sister, Janice Trexler and many nieces, nephews, and neighbors. A deep appreciation to her sister Janice and niece Shana for supporting the family by giving Linda special love and care in her final days.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:30 p.m., 8th day of July 2025, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville. Burial will follow in Locust Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, 305 Locust Grove Road, Weaverville.

In lieu of bouquets please send/bring plants to West Funeral Home in honor of Linda’s love for gardening for loved ones to remember her by.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:15 p.m., prior to the service at the funeral home.
