A Life Lived in Light: Remembering Leslie Rose Clement Bonner
It is with heavy hearts and profound spiritual reflection that we announce the sudden, unexpected passing of Leslie Rose Clement Bonner, 67, who transitioned from this earthly realm on Friday, June 13, 2025, in her beloved woods of Black Mountain, North Carolina, a home-base that held her heart and soul.
Leslie was a radiant spirit, a true healer and teacher and a beacon of light for all who knew her. As an entrepreneur, innovator, businesswoman and gifted naturopathic doctor who specialized in massage therapy and lymphatic manipulation, she dedicated her life to nurturing well-being, both physically and spiritually. Leslie possessed an insatiable love for learning and for life itself, approaching each day with an open mind, joyful heart, assuming and spreading good will. Her unique gift was making everyone feel like their best self and deeply loved a testament to her boundless compassion and genuine warmth. She cultivated a sense of belonging and worth in every interaction, leaving an indelible mark on countless lives.
Though her earthly journey has come to an end, we find solace in knowing that she was welcomed to Heaven by her parents, Paul and Jean Clement, her older sister Valerie and brother-in-law George Spychola, her in-laws Helen Elbaum and Ted Bonner and her beloved cats. Together, they leave behind a legacy of love, cherished memories, and a reminder of the profound connections that transcend time and space. Leslie’s spirit, vibrant and loving, continues to resonate in the hearts of those she leaves to cherish her memory. She is lovingly remembered by her devoted spouse and soulmate Alan Bonner, with whom she shared a profound connection and was her true home. Leslie also leaves behind her siblings by birth and love, Becky Faulkner, Paul Clement, Traci Colkern, Danny and Jen Bonner, Dale and Sue Bonner, Arlene Bonner, Steven and Cathy Bonner, TJ and Barbara Bonner, and Billy Bonner. Leslie thrived and reveled in her role as favorite aunt, great aunt, cousin, and friend. Each carry a piece of Leslie’s unwavering love and zest for life.
While we grieve her physical absence, we find solace in knowing that Leslie has returned to the embrace of the divine, a soul now soaring freely amidst the very nature she so deeply cherished. Her life was a testament to the power of love, the beauty of connection and the transformative impact of a truly passionate heart.
Leslie’s memory will forever be a guiding light, reminding us to embrace life with open hearts, to seek knowledge with curiosity, and to always strive to make others feel loved and valued. A Celebration of Life is planned for July 13, 2025, in Asheville, North Carolina (time and place to be announced). Internment and Celebration of Leslie will be at 10 am on July 28, 2025, at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 5233 118th Avenue North, St. Petersburg, Florida. May her spirit find eternal peace.
