Larry W. Haney

Larry W. Haney, age 68, formerly of Weaverville, died Saturday, September 30, 2017 in Union, SC. Larry was born August 1, 1949 in Buncombe County to the late Robie & Louise Holcombe Haney, he had lived in Buncombe County most of his life. For the past ten years Larry had lived near his sister in N. Augusta. A veteran of the Vietnam War he had served in the US Army. Surviving are his daughters, Clara and Stephanie Haney; son, Stacy Haney; sisters, Kathy Haney of N. Augusta, SC, Shirley H. Davis and husband Ray of Goodyear, AZ and Trudy M. Gentry and husband Charles also of N. Augusta, SC; brother, Jerry Haney and wife Hattie of Weaverville and eight grandchildren. His graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 3, 2017 in Locust Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, 305 Locust Grove Rd., Weaverville with Rev. Ben Whitmire officiating.
