Larry James Cody

Larry James Cody, age 67, of Weaverville died Sunday, October 15, 2017. Larry was born November 15, 1949 in Buncombe County where he had lived all of his life. He formerly worked for Johnson-Chandley, Parks Auto Sales and Collision and Quality Motors. Larry served in the U.S. Navy from July 1969 until September 1970. He was the son of the late Ed and Dorothy Hartley Cody. Surviving are his wife, Gail McAbee Cody of Weaverville; daughter, Ashley Ledford and husband Cody of Burnsville and one granddaughter, McKenna, due on Oct. 21st. His service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 19, 2017 in the Chapel of Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery with Rev. Lanny Cobb officiating, burial to follow.
