Kimela (Kim) J. Thomas

ASHEVILLE – Kimela “Kim” L. Thomas, age 66, passed away on Friday, December 12, 2025.

Mrs. Thomas was born on May 16, 1959, in Buncombe County where she had lived all her life. She owned and operated The Clothesline and also worked at The Open Door. She was a waitress for a number of years at Fine Friends.

She was the daughter of Janie Ferguson Jarvis and the late Kenneth Robert Jarvis.

Surviving are her husband, Terry Thomas; two daughters, Courtney Monroe (Luke) and Lacey Noland (Caleb); a sister, Kelly Jarvis; a brother, Kevin Jarvis; ten grandchildren, Haley Obremski, Christian Obremski, Gavin Monroe, Grey Monroe, River Monroe, Winter Monroe, Asa Noland, Violet Noland, Isla Noland, Ruby Noland; and one great grandson, Miles McDonald.

Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at Ashelawn Gardens of Memory with Reverend Vince Brown officiating.
