Kenneth "Kenn" R. Beach II, a beloved resident of Weaverville, passed away at the age of 77 on June 25, 2026. Born on September 18, 1948, in Port Huron, Michigan, Kenn lived in his home state until 1991 when he moved to the beautiful landscapes of Western North Carolina.
A dedicated professional, Kenn spent two decades working at the Flint Journal before embarking on a fulfilling career as a self-employed general contractor. His passions included watch repair, gardening, caring for his chickens, and collecting tractors. He was a member of the Weaverville Lions Club. Over the past few years, he was a substitute teacher at North Buncombe and Enka High Schools.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth Russell Beach I and Amy Wingard Beach. Kenn is survived by his devoted wife of eighteen years, Linda Parrott Beach. He leaves behind his sons, Kenneth "Rusty" Beach III and his wife Shannon, and Jacob Beach and his wife Ragan. Kenn’s memory will also be cherished by his siblings, his sisters Carolyn Heimburger (Bruce) and Diana Taylor (Dale), his brother Frank Beach (Ann), as well as his grandchildren Justin, Brandon, and Emily Beach, and great-grandchildren Grayson, Marley, and Julian.
A memorial service celebrating Kenn's life will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 6, 2026, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home. The family will greet friends following the service. Interment will be held at a later date in Ruby Cemetery, Clyde, Michigan.
