John France Carson

BARNARDSVILLE – John France Carson age, 61, of Barnardsville, passed away on Wednesday, May 7, 2025.

John was born on December 13,1963 in Buncombe County where he had lived all his life. He was a graduate of North Buncombe High School. He was the owner/operator of Riverside Diner on Swannanoa River Road in Asheville. John loved playing foosball. He had a passion for enjoying everything in life to the fullest, especially his family and friends.

He was the son of the late Dolph Thomas and Bessie Harwood Carson. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Wayne Carson, nieces, Tiffany and Tammy Reece.

Surviving are his sisters, Jackie Reece of Barnardsville and Patty Parrish and husband, Ben of St. Augustine, FL; his dog, Zeus; niece, Melissa Parrish Thliveros and husband, Nick; nephew, Ryan Carson and wife, Shannon; great nieces, Kinlee Carson; Jordyn White; Ashley Phillips, Jamie Massey, Kaylee, Charlie and London Cove; and his close friends, Mike Miller and Stuart Greene.
