Joe Ann Buckner Snyder

ALEXANDER – Joe Ann Buckner Snyder, age 77, of Alexander, passed away Friday, October 14, 2022, surrounded by her family.  Mrs. Snyder was born December 25,1944 in Buncombe County where she resided all her life. 

She was the daughter of the late Roy L. and Hazel Rice Buckner. She was also preceded in death by sisters, Beatrice DeBruhl, Jane Ponder, and Edna Mull and two wonderful grandchildren, James Corey Snyder and Hannah Isabella Snyder.

Mrs. Snyder leaves behind her husband of 61 years, Ronald Dexter Snyder; two sons, Jess Raymond Snyder and wife, Norma Jean and James Roger Snyder and wife, Laura; granddaughter, Tsz-yan Snyder; sister, Pauline Hunter; brother, Larry Buckner and wife, Joanie; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, October 18, 2022, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Avenue, Weaverville with Pastor Ronnie Pittman officiating.  The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
