Joe Marion Nix

BARNARDSVILLE– Joe Marion Nix, age 79, of Barnardsville, died Saturday, March 17, 2018. Joe was born December 3, 1938 in Henderson County to the late Rev. Ralph Marion Nix and Noreen Sue Hill. Mr. Nix served his country in the US Marine Corps and retired with 21 years of service. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Theresa Lynn Nix; sister, Clara Norwood and brother, Roy Nix. Surviving are his wife, Wanda Ingle Nix of Barnardsville; daughter, Felisha Renee Nix of Asheville; sons, Joe Kevin Nix of Barnardsville, Dwight Marion Nix of Weaverville and Calvin Christopher Nix of Asheville; brother, Carol Nix of Edneyville; six grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
