WEAVERVILLE – Jerry Forker, age 65, of Reems Creek Road, died Saturday, February 24, 2018. Jerry was born October 20, 1952 in Elmira, NY and lived in Horseheads, NY before moving to Aiken, SC in 1992, and Weaverville in 2007. He was employed at Thermo Fisher Scientific in Weaverville. His father, Harry Forker; brother, Butch Sherman; father-in-law, Harold Cokely; sister-in-law, Margo Symonds and brother-in-law, Scott Cokely all preceded him in death. Jerry loved his wife, children and grandchildren and was an amazing husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed playing golf as often as possible and taking vacations at every opportunity. Surviving are his wife of 44 years, Pam Cokely Forker; daughter, Krista Forker Spinks and husband Alex of N. Augusta, SC; son, Shaun Forker and fiancé Kelli Dillingham of Weaverville; mother-in-law, Grace Cokely; brother-in-law, Berry Cokely and wife Kathy; sister-in-law, Pat Lee and husband Doug; brother-in-law, Jim Symonds; grandchildren, Jordan, Max, and Natalie Spinks and Katherine and Peyton Forker; Kelli’s children, Taylor, Raegan, Jackson, Maddie and Sarah; aunt, Lillian Kinner; cousins, Steve and Laurie Kreitzer, Carol and Danny Cragan, Debbie and Danny Difasi, David Stearns; and several other very special nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. His memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, March 1, 2018, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home with Rev. Worth Emory officiating.
