Jerri Lynn Johnson

MARSHALL – Jerri Lynn Johnson (Buckner), 51, of Marshall, NC passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, September 28, 2022, at Mission Hospital with her family by her side.  Jesus has taken her to Heaven to rest and be happy at peace. 

Lynn was born in 1970 in Charlotte, NC to Helen Waldrop and Jerry Buckner.

She spent much of her childhood in Hickory, NC, and her adult life in Hendersonville, NC.

Lynn was a sweet, gentle soul who loved helping people and building friendships. Her health had declined significantly recently, but she loved spending time with her daughters and grandsons most of all. She loved being silly, playing with her oldest grandson Lincoln, 7, and cuddling with her youngest grandson, Jasper, 1.

Lynn kept her faith in life’s rough moments. She enjoyed animals, cooking, music, singing, and being happy with her friends and family.

Lynn is survived by her father Jerry Buckner (Glenda) of Weaverville, NC, her daughter Beth Johnson (Jonathan Douglas) of Weaverville, NC, her daughter Jessica Buckner (Angela Suttles) of Leicester, NC, and her cherished grandsons Lincoln and Jasper Douglas. Lynn also has countless family members who deeply care for her including uncles and aunts, a multitude of cousins, and friends who have stayed by her side throughout the years.

She was preceded in death by her mother Helen Blair of Hickory, NC, her grandmother Mildred Buckner of Weaverville, NC, and her grandmother Dolly Waldrop of Hickory, NC.

A memorial to celebrate Lynn’s life is being held on October 22^nd at noon at a location soon to be determined. If you would like to share your stories and remember Lynn, reach out to her daughters Jessica Buckner or Beth Johnson.
