Jane Jones Higgins

WEAVERVILLE – Jane Jones Higgins, age 76, of Weaverville, passed away Thursday, April 28, 2022. 

Jane was born March 3, 1946, in Buncombe County to the late Sam Q & Ruth Burnette Jones; she had lived all her life in Buncombe County. A 1964 graduate of N.B. High School, she formerly worked at HomeTrust Bank and later became a real estate broker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Dorothy Cook and Sammy Cabe.

Surviving are her husband of 54 years, Phillip Higgins, Sr.; daughter, Jordan Higgins; sons, Phillip Higgins, Jr. and Justin Higgins; sisters, Shelby Shelton and Pat Burnette.

Her graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 5, 2022 at Piney Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Eric Dimsdale officiating.

The family will greet friends at the home of Shelby Shelton, 390 Barnardsville Highway, Weaverville.
