LEICESTER – James “J.D.” Ogle, age 49, of Leicester went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at the Solace Hospice Center.

James was born on December 7, 1976, in Buncombe County where he had lived all his life. J.D. was a private and intelligent man who did not waste words. A man of simple pleasures and generosity. He was a lover of firearms and history but most of all his family. During his brief illness he never questioned or complained. His courage touched all of us around him and he will be truly missed. James was preceded in death by his father, Rodney “Dale” Ogle, who he cared for faithfully.

He is survived by his mother, Barbara Ogle of the home; brother, Jason Ogle (Stephanie); and their children, Caleb, Joshua, Charity, and Joy.

J.D. let us know that he was ready to meet God. As a man of his word, we look forward to seeing him in heaven. A private burial was held at Ashelawn Gardens of Memory.
