James Joseph McDevitt

WEAVERVILLE– James Joseph McDevitt, age 92, of Weaverville, died Monday, December 4, 2017. James was born April 2, 1925 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Joseph Thomas and Irene Churchville McDevitt; he was a resident of Buncombe County for most of his life. He was an Administrative Officer with the U.S. Government and also served in the U.S. Marine Corp. Surviving are his wife Katherine Prall McDevitt; step daughter, Patricia Dockery and husband Mark; step son, Thomas Michael Coley. A private burial will be held at Mountain View Memorial Park in Boulder, CO. West Funeral Home is assisting the family.
