Frank Edward Langford

WEAVERVILLE – Frank Edward Langford, age 94, of Weaverville, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 12, 2025.

Mr. Langford was born on April 28, 1931, in Buncombe County where he had lived all of his life. He was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean War, and was retired from Burlington Industries. He was a member of Morgan Hill Baptist Church in Weaverville where he served as a deacon for many years. He leaves behind a legacy that is not measured in riches or titles but in the way he poured himself into the lives of those around him.

He was the son of the late Willard and Fannie Rogers Langford and husband of the late Mary “Lib” Langford who died in 2018. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Robert, Earl, Harold, Ray, and Harvey Langford and their spouses; and sisters, Ethel Buckner, Bernice Buckner, and Irene Buckner and their spouses.

Surviving are his daughters, Frankie Marshbanks of Weaverville, and Beth Rogers and husband Monty of Leicester; brother, Donald Langford (Althea) of Asheville; grandchildren, Christina Aardema (Sean), Sara Barrier (John), Andrew Rogers (Cassie), and Haley Seager (Chris); and great grandchildren, Carter, Flora, Ian, Genna, Holden, Blakely, Brooks, and Briggs.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, September 16, 2025, in Morgan Hill Baptist Church, 28 Ivy Hill Road, Weaverville, with Rev. Larry Sprinkle and Rev. Chris Seager officiating. Burial will follow in the Church cemetery where Frank will be laid to rest with military honors, beside his wife. The family will receive friends before the service from 1:15 to 2:15 p.m., at the church.
