ASHEVILLE – Francys King Radford, age 84, of Asheville passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at Mission Hospital.

Mrs. Radford was born December 15, 1941, in Pelzer, SC and was a resident of Buncombe County for most of her life. She was the only child of the late Joseph Guy and Sara Florence Spearman King and was wife to the late Albert Harlon Radford. She was also preceded in death by her daughters, Susan Radford Baker, and Betsy Radford.

Surviving is her daughter, Ann Radford and partner John Morgan; and sons, Mitchell Radford and wife Sherry, and Michael Radford.

She will be laid to rest with her husband at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain privately, and a family service will be planned at a later date.
