Frances Ann Pegg Robinson

WEAVERVILLE – Frances Ann Pegg Robinson, age 87, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family.

Frances was born on May 3, 1938, in Buncombe County where she had lived all of her life. She worked as a Sales Clerk at Connie Fashions until the store closed then she worked at Skate-A-Round as a party planner. She truly loved being around all of the young people. She retired to take care of her grandchildren who are the joy of her life. Frances was a member of Cedar Hill Baptist Church.

She was the daughter of the late Fred and Cora Roberts Pegg and wife of 70 years to the late George W. Robinson. She is also preceded in death by all her siblings, Sam Pegg, Frank Pegg, Garrett Pegg, J.C. Pegg, Eugene Pegg, Bunie Peeples, and Bertha Hyatt.

Surviving are her daughters, Patricia Coates and husband Junior, and Karen Brown and husband Scott; son, Richard Robinson and wife Annette; and grandchildren, Wesley Robinson and wife Sabrina, Matthew Robinson, and Megan Brown.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, November 25, 2025, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville with Rev. Roy McPeters officiating. A private burial will be held at Clark’s Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:15 to 2:15 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
