Dorothy Harwood

Dorothy Harwood, age 87, of Weaverville, died Wednesday October 11, 2017. Miss Harwood was born March 7, 1930 in Buncombe County where she had lived all of her life. Dorothy attended Weaverville First Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Alta Harwood; sisters, Bonnie Crook, Janie Wykle, Annie, Reva, Lena and Flonnie Harwood; brothers, Clarence, Arthur and James Harwood. Surviving is her sister, Flossie Harwood and several nieces and nephews. Her graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, October 13, 2017, in the Wykle Family Cemetery, 35 Blevins Rd. Weaverville, NC, At other times, the family will be at the residence of Betty Bryant, 81 Blevins Rd. Weaverville, NC.
