David Grossman

WEAVERVILLE – The family of David Grossman is deeply saddened to announce his passing on April 3, 2026.

Born on October 24, 1978, in Boston, MA, Dave lived a full and remarkable life. Raised in Charlotte, NC, Dave attended Charlotte Country Day School K-12, graduating in 1997. In 2001, he graduated from Washington & Lee University with a degree in Economics. Dave spent his professional life in real estate development, and was able to turn his passion for fly fishing into Southern Culture on the Fly, a media company that redefined the industry’s cultural landscape. He had a passion for life that showed up in his love for his family and friends, as well as his love for the outdoors and Landcruisers. Dave touched the hearts of everyone he met through his kindness, humor, and generosity.

He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Jed and Abbie; his wife, Lindsey; his parents Isaac and Berta; and countless cherished friends who he felt lucky to consider family. A private funeral service will be held followed by a celebration of life that’s open to the public on Friday, April 10, 2026, at Triple C Brewing, 2900 Griffith St, Charlotte, NC 28203 at 5pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to MountainTrue or Second Chance Bird Dogs.
