David Paul Emory

David Paul Emory, age 89, passed away July 27, 2024, from injuries received in an automobile accident. He was born August 14, 1935, in Buncombe County. 

Mr. Emory worked in the nuclear power industry until his retirement. He was a member of Aiken First Baptist Church in Aiken SC. His mother Margaret and brother Russell preceded him in death. 

He is survived by his best friends, Hannah Gainey, Star Jordan and Cindy Mears who helped him in so many ways and by cousins Bruce Bradley and Fred Lytle. 

A service will be held at 2.30pm Saturday August 24, 2024, in the chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Avenue, Weaverville, NC 28787. Pastor Kevin Boone from Brookstone Church will officiate. Burial will be in Clark’s Chapel Cemetery, Weaverville, NC.
