Danny Vinson Maney

WEAVERVILLE – Danny Vinson Maney, age 74, of Weaverville passed away on Friday, June 27, 2025.

Danny was born on October 21, 1950, in Buncombe County where he had lived all his life.

He was a 1969 graduate of North Buncombe High School and a self-employed Building Contractor. He was a motorcycle enthusiast. He loved lake life, including fishing and storytelling.

Danny was the son of the late Buron Vinson and Myrtle Elizabeth Bradley Maney. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Lee Maney; sister, Linda Maney Shope; and beloved grandson, Logan Maney.

Surviving is his wife of 53 years, Diana Edwards Maney; daughters, Cristee Maney Teaster and husband, Brian, Jennifer Maney Anderson and husband, John; sisters, Sharon Allison, Vikki Banks and husband, Ray; brothers, Phil Maney and wife, Leigh, Tony Maney and wife, Stephanie; grandchildren, Mikaela Allen and husband Bryson, Brody Roberson, Hudson Teaster, Kamryn Anderson, and Karmen Anderson; and great granddaughter, Alivia Allen; sister-in-law, Sandra Bass; and several beloved nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 18, 2025, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with the Reverend Keith Watkins officiating. The family will greet friends following the service. Please dress casually.
