WEAVERVILLE - Danny Dean English, a devoted husband, cherished family man, and faithful servant of the Lord, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 14, 2026, in Buncombe County, North Carolina. Born on May 21, 1957, in Burke County, North Carolina, Danny lived a life marked by warmth, creativity, and spiritual devotion until his final days.

Danny worked at Ardenwood Health & Rehab, where he dedicated his efforts to supporting those in need. He deeply loved the Lord, finding strength and peace in his faith. Danny also enjoyed gardening. His artistic spirit was expressed through painting, a pastime that brought him joy and allowed him to share his unique perspective with family and friends.

His presence enriched the lives of all who knew him. Danny is survived by his beloved wife of 34 years, Barbara Miller English; step-daughter, Kimberly Conner and her husband Richard; and his step-son, Jeremy Nelon, along with Jeremy's wife Christie; sisters, Mary Ann Roberson and her husband Edis, and Vicky English. His legacy lives on through several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Everette and Elisa Dale English; his aunt, Ruth English; and his granddaughter, Savannah Buckner.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, from 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m., at the Chapel of West Funeral Home, located at 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville, North Carolina with Rev. John Honeycutt officiating. These gatherings will provide an opportunity for family and friends to support one another. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Gardens of Memory, 901 Aiken Rd., Asheville.

Danny Dean English’s journey has come to an end, may he rest in eternal peace, forever embraced by the Lord he so dearly loved.
