DANIEL WADE FOX WEAVERVILLE– Daniel Wade Fox, age 81, of Stoney Knob Road, died Friday, September 29, 2017. Wade was born January 28, 1936 in Madison County to the late Claude C. and Gennie Allen Fox; he was a resident of Buncombe County for most of his life. He was a local bread and milk delivery man for many years. After he retired he worked at the Asheville Mulch Yard. Wade loved to hunt and fish and was an avid golfer. He was a member of Newbridge Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Lela Norton Fox; sons, Michael Fox and wife Paula of Ft. Worth, TX and Darryl Fox and wife Jackie of Weaverville; sisters, Madge Arrowood of Mars Hill, Claudia Green and husband Joe of Marshall and Minnie Haney of Kingsport, TN; grandchildren, Paige Fox Gibson and husband Hunter of Weaverville and Dylan Fox also of Weaverville. His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 3, 2017 in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville. Rev. Clark Henderson will officiate. Burial will be in Allen Family Cemetery, Marshall. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, October 2, 2017 at the funeral home.
