Dale "Duane" Wyatt

ASHEVILLE – Dale “Duane” Wyatt, age 57, of Asheville died on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, at Mission Hospital. Mr. Wyatt was born on June 17, 1965, in Buncombe County, where he lived for most of his life. He was the son of the late Lewis and Jean Davis Wyatt.

Mr. Wyatt worked with his father for many years doing cabinetry work, including for many Ingles stores.  He also built many homes here in Buncombe County. He served in the Army Reserves and loved deer hunting.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Baldwin; stepson, Joshua Garren; four daughters and their mother, Donna Wyatt: Deidra Nichols (Eddie), Danielle Wyatt, DeAndra Robinson (Jason), and Danita Simpson (Jeff); eight grandchildren, including Ayden Horne, with whom he shared a special bond; sister, Shannon Wyatt Gentry (Greg); and two nieces.

A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 26, 2022 in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Avenue, Weaverville, with Reverend Kent Smith officiating. His urn will be buried at Burleson Cemetery in Barnardsville in the Wyatt family section.
