Connie Marie Kilcoyne

ASHEVILLE - Connie Marie Kilcoyne, 63, of Asheville died of a heart attack late Saturday evening, September 4, 2021.

Connie was a graduate of North Buncombe High School, class of 1976, and graduated with honors from Central Piedmont Community College, class of 2014.

Connie worked many years as a Life Insurance Agent and continued to keep her license active after retirement.  She showed an interest in creating art at a young age and loved to make afghans for family members.  She also enjoyed refinishing antique furniture.  Connie loved going to NASCAR races and collecting NASCAR memorabilia.  She also had a love for animals and adopted, loved, and cared for many pet cats and dogs during her life.

Connie was preceded in death by her father, Charles Kilcoyne; and her brothers, Doug and Darryl Kilcoyne.

Surviving is her mother, Dorothea Kilcoyne; sister, Cindy Kilcoyne Rodman and husband Michael; niece, Ashley Tipton; nephews, Sean Kilcoyne, Chris Kilcoyne, and Kento Kinjo; great-nieces, Paola, Victoria and Naomi Kilcoyne, Hailey Davis and Braylynn Tipton; and great-nephews, Connor Davis and Matthew Kilcoyne.

A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 9, 2021 in West Memorial Park.

West Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 10 Glenlake Pkwy NE South Tower Suite 400, Atlanta, GA 30328.
