WEAVERVILLE– Carroll Bradley, age 88, of Weaverville, died April 1, 2018 at his home.
Mr. Bradley was born September 14, 1929 in Buncombe County where he had lived all of his life. Carroll served honorably in the US Army. He retired from Reliance Electric. He was an avid guitar picker and played with many gospel groups and enjoyed Shindig on the Green with his grandson. Carroll attended First Born Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Carroll was preceded in death by his parents, R.P. and Della Gosnell Bradley; sisters, Nell and Doris; granddaughter Angie; grandson Lucas.
Surviving are his wife of 67 years, Barbara Roberts Bradley; daughters, Ann Bradley, Vivian Gentry, Lisa Griffin, Critney Crowder and husband Joshua; son, Tommy Bradley and wife Trisha; sister, Ellen Lindsey; brother, Bruce Bradley; eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren and special friends, Robert Peek and Dean Griffin.
His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 4, 2018 in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville. Reverends Jerry Jamerson and Wade Rice will officiate. Burial will be in Long’s Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at the funeral home.
