Carolyn Griffin Harris

WEAVERVILLE – Carolyn Griffin Harris, age 79, of Weaverville passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at the Solace Hospice Center. 

She was born in Buncombe County on February 26, 1944, and was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Mamie Boatwright.

Carolyn was an artist who painted landscapes, people, and animals.  A computer programmer, she worked at the Asheville Water Department.  She was a lifelong resident of Buncombe County.

Carolyn is survived by her husband, David Harris; sisters-in-law, Annie Harris and Linda Chastain; brother-in-law, Mike Harris and his wife, Sharon; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, May 1, 2023, at West Memorial Park, 40 Roberts Street, Weaverville, NC.
