Caroleen Pike Morton

WEAVERVILLE – Caroleen Pike Morton, age 77, of Weaverville, went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 22, 2025.

Caroleen was born on January 7, 1948, in Buncombe County and resided in Washington, DC, for a short while. She then moved to Middlesboro, Kentucky from 1968 to 1970 and then returned to Weaverville where she remained until her death. She was a 1966 graduate of North Buncombe High School. She also graduated from St. Genevieve’s School of the Pines for secretaries. She was involved with Celebrate Recovery at Trinity Baptist Church.

She was daughter of the late Clarence and Ruby Holcombe Pike. Also preceding her in death, is her husband, Gary C. Morton to whom she was married to for over 50 years.

She is survived by her son, Chris Morton and his wife, Anita of Weaverville; daughter, Stephanie Sullivan and husband, Joe of Fair Hope, Alabama; brother, Randall Pike and his wife, Susie of Candler; and grandchildren, Adah and Chloe Morton and Harlow Sullivan.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at Trinity Baptist Church, 216 Shelburne Road, Asheville with Reverend Winston Parrish and Reverend Allen Rash officiating. Burial will follow in West Memorial Park, Weaverville. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Monday, August 25, 2025, at West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Avenue, Weaverville.
