Carol Ann Pond

WEAVERVILLE– Carol Ann Pond, age 79, of Weaverville, died Friday, December 1, 2017. Carol was born September 9, 1938 in Massillon, Ohio. She was a loving wife and mother who was a homemaker and an avid animal lover. Carol participated in the Weaverville Music Study Club and with The United Methodist Women’s Ministry. She was the daughter of the late Henry and Frances Vaingat Jones. Surviving are her son, David Pond and wife Jackie; daughter, Joanne Ruff and her family; brothers Robert and James Jones and their families, and granddaughter, Jessica Pond. Her memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 16, 2017 in Weaverville United Methodist Church of which she was a member. Rev. Dr. Roger Weisner and Rev. Hank Jackson will officiate. Inurnment will be in Lewis Memorial Park, Asheville. West Funeral Home is assisting the family.
