WEAVERVILLE– Carol Sue Gardner Lever, age 80, of Weaverville, died Monday, July 9, 2018.
A native of Findlay, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Francis I. Gardner and Beatrice Frances Woodward Gardner. She graduated from the College of Nursing, University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing in 1959 and received the Master in Education degree from the University of Toledo, Ohio in 1981. Sue worked for Toledo Public Schools, NC Orange County Health Department and NCDHHS, retiring in 2005. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her son, Charles Edward Lever III of Ann Arbor, MI and her daughter, Laura Woodward Lever of Asheville, NC. Left to mourn, are constant companions, Wallace and Dixie.
A celebration of life service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, August 4, 2018 in Christ United Methodist Church, 81 Garrison Branch Road, Weaverville, NC 28787. Reverend Duane Corle will officiate.
The family will receive friends 3:00 to 3:45 p.m. prior to the service in the church gathering area.
