Carol Beth Gibson Case

WEAVERVILLE – Carol Beth Gibson Case, age 82, went to be with our Lord on Friday, September 23, 2022.

Carol was born in Union, South Carolina on May 11, 1940.  She resided in Buncombe County for all her life.

Carol was the daughter of the late William Paul Gibson and Beatrice Brown Gibson.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, William “Bill” Gibson, and her sister, Diane Wyse.

Carol was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.  Christ was the center of her life.  While she enjoyed many blessings in his life, the hallmark of her character was her devotion to her Savior.  She found joy giving her love and inspiration to her family.  Our hearts overflow with gratitude and admiration of her strength.  Her family finds peace and comfort knowing Jesus met her at Heaven’s gates and said “Well done my good and faithful servant.  Enter into the joys of your Master.”

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 64 years, Mack H. Case.  She is survived also by her daughter, Terri E. Moore and husband Michael Moore; her son, Matthew Case and wife Joyce Case; four grandchildren, Heather Holton and husband Michael, Katie Faber and husband Carl, and Meghan Atkinson and husband Adam; and Jacob Case; eight great-grandchildren, DeOnna, Tanner, Marli, Piper, Haley, Kendall, David, and Luke; one great-great-granddaughter, Angel; and her sister, Donna Davis of South Carolina.

Carol’s funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 27, 2022, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. J. Michael Brown officiating. The family will greet friends following the funeral.
